March – December 2013 : Books Beyond Words Training Workshops

Beyond Words are the publishers of an award-winning series of books for people with learning disabilities or communication difficulties. The books communicate through pictures to help people understand and cope with a wide range of difficult situations. Please visit www.booksbeyondwords.co.uk

During 2013 we will be running regular workshops on the various ways in which the books can be used not only to support those with learning disabilities but also family members, carers, those in clinical professions and teachers.  The topics will include general introductory workshops, bookclub workshops and therapy workshops. 

Provisional dates and topics for 2013 are as follows:
 
14 March          Book Club Workshop 
19 April             Therapy Workshop 
11 July              Morning workshop - Book Club;  Afternoon workshop - Schools & Education 
11 October       Book Club Workshop
5 December     Workshop

Tickets for a full day workshop cost £145 including lunch, refreshments and training pack. A special rate of £95 applies for students, supporters accompanying self-advocates and if you buy two or more tickets together. The half day workshops are offered at a lower rate.
